Rantings on Tech (a website by our third year computer science student) has recently posted an interesting article on how you all can make money online with your blogs. If you are new to making money online and wishing to jump on the bandwagon, you should start by checking out the site.
Come the next academic year, there will be a new Vice President in UNMC. Professor Brian Atkin will be replaced by Ian Pashby.
Some of you might not know this but Ian Pashby has started to assume some of Brian’s work in his absence. While Ian’s appointment as the Vice President will mean very little to most, it is important to note that ultimately, the VP has the final say in all things in UNMC, from academic appeals to welfare. As a note, to all cricket players, Ian Pashby was the man that approved the use of the basketball court as a cricket ground until a proper pitch can be made.
To the Atkins, we here at WhatsUpNotts would like to wish you thank you for all your hard work during your time here in ensuring a better Nottingham for each and every one of the student population.
Hi there, people!
I just want to remind you all that we’re gonna be having the Mr and Miss Notts finals during the Annual Dinner. For those of you who missed all the action in the past, here’s a list of who’s made it to the finals:
During the Annual Dinner, finalists WONT BE PERFORMING their talents anymore, they’re only going to do a GROUP DANCE and a CATWALK. But don’t worry, we’re gonna provide you with a video of recap of their performances during semifinals.
Vote cards will be distributed to EVERYONE during the Annual Dinner. Rules of voting remains the same: you can only vote for 1 male finalist and 1 female finalist. If you vote more than 1 finalists (from either side), your vote will be considered INVALID.
Scoring system is as follows:
- 60% of total score will come from the score each contestants receive on the semifinal round
- 40% of total score will come from the votes casted during Annual Dinner.
So uhm… to keep things short… VOTE FOR YOUR FAVOURITE FINALIST!!! Don’t let him/her down!!! Show your support!!!
Thanks!
It’s 12.15am. My housemate, Steffi, just knocked on my door. Shouted that I should go online on MSN since Aiman was looking for me. So I did.
He wanted a snapshot of Annual Dinner Ticket, then I gave him. Then again, it’s not Aiman if he didn’t ask for anything else (joke!). So here I am, writing down some words on Annual Dinner upon his request (instead of doing my Asian Economic Development assignment).
Time has been rough on us, the SA Entertainment Team. Dragging our asses (Am I even allow to say “ass”?) to SA office every Monday and Thursday for meeting, calling so many companies for annual dinner sponsorship (and often only got freaking operators or voicemails), and getting stressed over the busy schedule we have from SA, clubs, and campus life are things that have been companying us every single day.
Then it’s been decided. Imperial Ballroom, One World Hotel in PJ. Love the place! Not to mention the food testing that we had. I swear I could not even eat breakfast and lunch the next day. The food seriously taste yummy and surely gonna make you feel REALLY full! It’s a Chinese Set menu. The food is seriously worth the price! So, did it satisfy my taste? Yeah, it did! Not only me, but also the others.
The SA Entertainment Team has been working really hard on this year’s Annual Dinner. We tried our best and really hope that all of you will be interested in attending the Annual Dinner. Well, even though I heard that the tickets are already SOLD OUT! You can still try to find table that still need more people.
Anyway, hope you will enjoy the Annual Dinner. We did our best. So, please do come!

What’s up y’all?
In the past few weeks, I found out that there’s quite a number of Nottingham bloggers but unfortunately, there is no ‘one-stop’ website where you can check out all the available Nottingham blogs out there. Its always interesting to see what other people have to say about UNMC so here, I am making a website that could be wiki website of sorts that caters to all the digital interest of all Nottingham Malaysia students.
We will give you the inside scoop of all things affecting Nottingham students: sneak peeks on upcoming events, where to eat and many more. This is blog by Nottingham students for Nottingham students and its editable by you. So do sign up and tell us what’s up!
